Slow Food Anglia Deli competition.
The Slow Food Anglia Best Deli competition was held in the late Autumn, we have held this competition for two years and it is aimed at
showcasing the best Delicatessen in East Anglia.
The competition has again proved very popular with over 30 Delicatessen from Norfolk, Suffolk and Cambridgeshire entering and this year with just four fantastic Delicatessen making it to the final.
The winner with the most votes from Slow Food Anglia members was the Norfolk Deli in Hunstanton in north west Norfolk.
The Norfolk Deli has won many awards over the past few years and all of us at Slow Food Anglia are very pleased to have such a terrific winner and the award is well deserved as this terrific Delicatessen offers a wide range of fantastic produce and also services to the public.
Slow Food Anglia will also organising an award for the best Farmers Market in East Anglia early in 2019. Currently we have entries from nearly 20 contenders and over the next few months we will be visiting each of these to find out more on what they have to offer and to get feedback from local customers who frequent the markets.
There are also plans to visit our fellow Slow Food group in London and explore ways that we can offer more competitions and information on specialist producers to both our members and also to consumers in East Anglia.
